The Conference

The Stockholm conference followed a similar structure as previous AEA-Europe conferences, with keynote presentations, parallel discussion group sessions, parallel paper presentations and a poster presentation session.

Pre-conference workshops

Pre-conference workshops, organised by the Professional Development committee, were held the day before the conference, November 7, at the same venue as the main conference.

• "An introduction to multilevel models in education" (Harvey Goldstein)
• "Applications of IRT" (Frans Kleintjes and Anton Béguin).
• "Validation with an emphasis on using examination or test results" (Simon Wolming and Christina Wikström)
• "A beginner's guide to educational assessment". (Chris Whetton, Marian Sainsbury and Steven Bakker)
