AEA-Europe session at NCME - Call for paper proposals

Once again AEA-E has been invited by NCME (National Council on Measurement in Education) to participate with a session in their upcoming Annual Meeting to take place in San Diego, California, April 14-16, 2009.  This session will be broadly based on current issues/work in educational assessment in Europe.

We are inviting all of you who might be interested in participating in the AEA-E sponsored session, to submit a paper proposal.  If comprehensive enough we will entertain the possibility of accepting a proposal for a full symposium.  Depending on the topics, quality and number of proposals, the Council will organize a symposium of interlinked papers, or even accept a full symposium proposal if justified.

All participants of the AEA-E sponsored session are expected to cover all their own expenses.  In rare circumstances of exceptional hardship the Association may choose to contribute with a partial subsidy, at the discretion of the AEA-Europe Council.

The deadline for your submission to us will be July 11, 2008.  All the proposals for the AEA-E session at NCME submitted to the AEA-Europe Council will be reviewed in our next meeting in July, and a decision will be made on which ones to include in the AEA-E’s sponsored session.  Please note, you do not need to submit your proposal directly to NCME.  Please submit your proposals to the AEA-Europe Secretary, Christina Wikstrom, at:  christina.wikstrom@edmeas.umu.se

Please consult the NCME website, www.ncme.org for further information and guidelines for the submission of paper proposals as well as symposia.

We hope and expect to receive many proposals that reflect your work and interests in the area of educational assessment in the European context, which is the broad framework for our participation.   We look forward to your contributions!
